A La Rochelle’s native where he spent much of his childhood, he left behind the iodized air and the blue of the blue Ocean in order to move to the French capital and to join the National School of Geographical Sciences and the IGN and later to lead for twenty more years large private mapping companies.

Passionate about environment and geography, but also a nature lover, during many years he was a producer of television discovery programs. In 2003, he created and directed a Public Utility Foundation for the Landscapes’ Protection.

From April 2017 until October 2019, he headed the French Circular Economy Institute in Paris, and currently chairs the European Organization for Climate and Circular Economy in Brussels.
